Fall in Love with Reading Party with Riley & Gilchrist Students

On Thursday, February 14th Gilchrist Elementary Student Council members traveled to Riley Elementary to celebrate Valentine’s Day with a “Fall in Love with Reading” party in Mrs. Williams’ kindergarten class. The students worked together to make a Valentine craft, play games, and of course read! With the help of the Killearn Kiwanis Club and the Polka Dot Press, each kindergartner went home with a Valentine book of their own.

Students also enjoyed a picnic lunch thanks to Killearn Firehouse Subs, and a yummy desserts donated by Student Council members. It was a wonderful event that allowed students from two different schools to share their love of reading and meet new friends too!
